Abstract

The economic growth in aggregate can be seen from Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foreign tourists, banking credit, and the inflation rate. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foreign tourists, bank credit, and inflation both simultaneously and partially on Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The research methods used in this research are descriptive statistic and panel data estimation regression method. The research variables studied were Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foreign tourists, banking credit, and inflation which were then functioned as independent variables that affected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which were then functioned as the dependent variable. The results of the study show that: (1) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foreign tourists, bank credit, and inflation have a significant effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) simultaneously; (2) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a significant and positive effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) partially; (3) foreign tourists have a significant and positive effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) partially; (4) bank credit has a significant and positive effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) partially; (5) inflation has a significant and negative effect on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) partially; (6) the findings of the first study stated that the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foreign tourists, bank credit, and inflation on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in several ASEAN member countries was very dominant at 70.7664%; and (7) the findings of subsequent studies state that the bank credit variable (CRD) is the most dominant variable influencing Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in several ASEAN member countries.
